Special Area or Corridor Studies

HMA has prepared numerous special area or corridor studies in communities with a variety of issues.  In many instances, the linkage between land use and traffic capacity along a particular corridor is the underlying issue behind the studies. Such studies often begin with a review of existing physical and demographic conditions while assessing the area’s greatest strengths and weaknesses. Issues addressed in these studies often include building coverage, landscaping requirements, access management, traffic capacity improvements, and amendments to zoning regulations.
