Base Mapping Services

Harrall – Michalowski Associates, Inc. (HMA) initiated the use of GIS some 15 years ago and has been a leader in the application of this technology to planning related projects.  The preparation of project base maps using computer and GIS technology is a primary component of HMA’s GIS related services.  HMA’s base mapping work usually includes digitizing from source media and integrating tabular data, such as assessment databases, from local and state agencies.  In many cases, base mapping is a critical initial step in the overall scope of a larger project such as updating of a Plan of Conservation and Development.
