Harrall – Michalowski Associates, Inc. (HMA) has been a leader in the application of Geographic Information Systems, computer modeling and traditional graphics in all aspects of its practice.  The development, implementation and integration of GIS technology is a primary component of HMA’s planning services.

HMA staff utilizes the latest technology to implement its GIS services and has extensive experience in GIS software products including ArcGIS, Spatial Analyst, ModelBuilder, & 3D Analyst.  HMA has the capability to work with digital data in either raster or vector format to build the GIS data layers typically needed for land use planning and other applications of GIS.

HMA’s visualization capabilities include 3D computer modeling and rendering, using FormZ as the primary software package.  Increasingly 3D computer modeling is being used in the planning and development field as a means to explore the physical relationship between project elements. Features of 3D computer modeling include the ability to generate photorealistic perspective views and to create animated walk through or fly over movie files to simulate experiencing the project site.
