Relocation Services

HMA has a wealth of experience in the area of relocation planning and implementation. The firm has recently prepared numerous relocation plans, most of which are or were undertaken under Chapters 130, 132 or 588l of the Connecticut General Statutes or municipal projects under local charter provisions. In providing these services, HMA executes a variety of tasks, including but not limited to: surveying and consulting with businesses and non-profit agencies to determine tenant needs; assisting city and/or redevelopment agency staff in identifying suitable accommodations for relocated businesses and non-profit agencies; collecting information and maintaining an up-to-date file on the availability, cost and floor size of comparable relocation sites; assisting the city/agency in determining the amount of relocation payments due to the applicants; and working with banks, mortgage brokers, and governmental finance agencies in obtaining financing to facilitate the relocation of businesses and non-profit agencies..
